Never mind that it's a smidge of a hike even from parts of the East Side - we know lifelong West Siders who make the pilgrimage out to the "wilds" of Chesterland to hunt vino at Bob Eppich's Colonial Wine & Beverage (8389 Mayfield Road). As one local connoisseur says succinctly of Eppich, "He knows his stuff." We've tested him and we concur. Eppich stocks a fine seelction of very high-quality wines, and what he doesn't have he can get in short order from his various suppliers. He also offers free delivery and holds wine tastings every Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m.
