Longwood 2005 Shiraz

With some bottle age behind it, this has come together nicely and is just starting to open up. Gobs of sweet blackberry and high pitched dark fruit are punctuated with some well integrated earth and spice components aromatically. The palate has that engaging mouth feel that speaks highly of its McLaren Vale origins, supple textured, gaining depth and flesh as it opens up, with exceptional fruit purity which builds in the palate and drives the flavors through on the nice lingering finish.
