Gentle rolling slopes and vibrant red Shenandoah soil accentuate this vineyard's unique rich berry character. Pig Pen was planted in 1978 and is named for the fencing that surrounds the vineayrd protecting the lucious berries from wild boar. A prefermentation cold soak captured the bright fruit character and further offered a rose petal bouquet with flavors of Rainer cherry.
