Pleasant herbal notes in the nose, along with lavender, dark red and black fruits, some tar and a little smoke. Flavors include cassis and dark cherry, with a hint of herbaceousness. It has a plump mid palate of dried cranberry, nice depth, fine tannins, and a long lasting finish. Double Gold Medal winner at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
