The 2009 "Z" comes Jeff Runquist is 92% Zinfandel and 8% Petite Sirah and 100% juicy, dark berry goodness. All of the fruit comes from the Massoni Ranch in Amador County, and in 2009 the wine is remarkably silky and fresh. Raspberry jam, currant and plum scents are adorned by aromas of wet stones. The palate delivers on the promise of fruit, fruit, fruit, with Nutella-like undertones, toast and spice.
